Richard Marker is a Rabbi whose volunteer leadership roles include serving as past chair of both the Board of World Religious Leaders, and of IJCIC, the official consortium of world Jewry charged with maintaining official relations with other world religious bodies. Professionally, he is an internationally known professor, writer, speaker, and advisor on philanthropy for philanthropists and foundations around the world.
He began his career in 1971 as Jewish Chaplain at Brown University His last position in the Jewish world was as International Vice President of Hillel. Subsequently he was the last CEO of the Bronfman/Seagram Foundation, and for the last 21 years he has been a professor of philanthropy at NYU and UPenn. A popular lecturer, he has spoken in 40 countries, and in as many States.
He is proud to have joined the board of LimmudNA in March 2020.
