I ordained as a rabbi at age 65 and became spiritual leader of the Reform congregation (Temple Shalom) that I had been part of for 30 years. I grew up Orthodox, wandered in the desert for 20 years, but an intermarriage encouraged me to reconnect to a new Judaism.
